THE PERFECT WINTERCOAT /// Three Choices....

Black wool trench by Bruno Pieters for Weekday, Release: 14th of october
Contemporary elegance and innovative lines. The latest designer to join the Weekday Collaboration is none other then Bruno Pieters. The renowned Belgian born designer has created a collection that embrace his signature style, a design that is fresh, timeless and sophisticated. Bruno Pieters collection for both men and women will be in all Weekday stores the 14th of October 2011.
»I work instinctively. For this collection I wanted to create a very elongated and narrow silhouette that would be contrasted with soft and natural materials. I feel strongly connected to architecture, but also to nature as an unpredictable force«, says Bruno Pieters.

5preview - AW2011: Black Cashmere Coat

“PAINT IT BLACK”, the AW 2011/12 collection of 5preview, shows a new direction to the brand former known as only a T-shirtbrand. The collection takes a deep dive in a black color bath, shades of a soft greyscale (isn't grey the new black anyway?) on high quality materials. Soft, sheer and fresh. There are organic silk underwear, rough military inspired jackets, lumberjack flannel and soft semitransparent sweaters. And this breathtakingly beautiful cashmere coat... Who can resist that?

DSTM AW 11/12: Cape & Arm length gloves
One of my current most favourite styles are the clothes from the in Berlin founded label DSTM - short for Don't Shoot The Messengers.
Experimental craftsmanship and a desire to create precious objects, along with geometry in relation to the body, is the essence of the label. Leather is used to define the lines and contours of the body, while silk adds a sense of fluidity and levity to meticulously crafted forms.
Kyle Callanan, from New Zealand, has a background in costume and fashion, providing precise and articulate pattenmaking. Jen Gilpin, a Canadian, brings extensive experience in fashion combined with a profound love for fine tailoring and technique. The duo is hands on, always challenging each other to find new techniques and perfect their form.
This cape is just so gorgeous and offers me the perfect opportunity to wear my leatherjacket all winter... HOT!
