EDITORI∆L.W∆TCH /// Bathroom "Beauties" made by VICE
I am a big fan of the VICE Style Shootings, their inconvenient way to present fashion and urban street style. This time the creative requirements might not have been too challenging, but I guess it's exactly the simplicity and the obvious setting that made me stop, watch and smile! And who cares about privacy and expensive set-up locations anyway, if the best backgrounds are sometimes just so close: We all get ready and dressed-up there - so why not make it the center of a fashion shoot? The bathroom is the place, where we look both, most gorgeous and totally messed up. Remember the nights you came home totally wasted, taking dressed up showers, falling asleep at the toilet (okay that's a lie, I never actually did that - but I could definitely add some lovely pictures of friends who did)? Or that ones you spent hours with your best friend in front of the mirror - talking, drinking and getting ready for the next night of your life, stealing a last satisfied glance at the mirror image before you leave the house? Well, other daily bathroom-issues have been documented now by Katharina Poblotzki and Aza Shade for even two different VICE editorials in April and May'11. Seems like they are really into it now!
