PICTURE OF THE DAY /// Chanel On Fire

It's a bit macbre, I know, but I just couldn't resist to share this one with you guys...! The meaning is a bit misleading on the first sight, referring to one of chanels trademarks - the camellia. 

The camellia, a flower of stark simplicity and pure white, could not fail to charm mademoiselle Chanel and formed part of her private world and later collections. Symbolizing purity and longevity in Asia, Chanel made it a symbol of her designs, featuring it here and there in every item of a woman’s wardrobe.

I dare to abstain any further judgement or comment, I just found this pictures super impressive (although it took me a moment to get the reference), but I am wondering what you think, justified or not?

Lässig, individuell und zuckersüß! Ich liebe Diane Birchs unverkrampften Chic und musste feststellen - it's all about the hat, denn der ist so gut wie immer Bestandteil ihres lässigen Stylings. Und gerade, dass die charmante Singer/Songwriterin stets auf solche Favoriten zurückgreift und diese einfach so oft wie möglich trägt, macht ihren Look so individuell. Obwohl Diane meines Wissens nie in Frankreich gelebt hat, erinnert ihr Style doch sehr an die hippe Künstlerboheme aus Paris. Und auch der Vergleich mit Jane Birkin drängt sich irgendwie auf...! 

Hüte dieser Art gibt es übrigens unter anderem bei ASOS, aber auch bei Ebay, auf dem Flohmarkt oder in Vintage-Stores wird man ganz sicher fündig und ist gleich zu jeder Gelegenheit passend gekleidet.

   

Diane Birch is the music scene's latest singer/songwriter wonder and she's already graced the pages of Vogue. No wonder, she has a great style and is so breathtaking gorgeous. Her favourite designers are Comme Des Garcons, Rick Owens, Isabel Marant and Chanel. And she never seems to leave the house without her black hat. Just lovely!
